My previous relationship was a divided house and I was forced to use a Dell, no Macs were allowed.
Now I have a much healthier relationship. I have a brand new MacBook Pro and I let my boyfriend use my old G4 for the internet.
My husband used to be a Windows tech and I still haven't been able to make him see the beauty of Unix-based OSes. I have a Powerbook and he has an XP box. I will probably go with Linux on my
next machine though.
My entire family runs on windows; not because they don't love macs, but because they're so lazy that all they need is a simple machine to check their email and such because they're not
addicted to the 'net like I am- but me and my mac will be together 'til death do us part, or at least until it gives out or I need a faster one.
My heart is with my mac - love love love. My husband got his Dell laptop for all his stuff, and I was happy to be able to use it when I took the bar exam. We're happy with the split, we dont'
have to share this way!
I'm a Mac, my boyfriend is a PC. I find it useful to have access to both. I've got an old iBook G4 though and I've been wanting to get a new laptop, but it'll be a Mac for sure.
I'm the geek so what I say goes. I have a macbook and we have a windows notebook
and two windows PCs (one Vista one XP). I also have a pocket pc. I do have an iPod and I got the husband an iPod. If it's pretty or geeky and has buttons - I don't care the brand - I just buy
it. The husband comes along for the ride.
Darling Nicki: Mac OS and Linux Distributions are both unix based; they are based off of the same code. But then Apple throws a lot of apple code on top of it, while Linux keeps everything
clean, simple and open source.
My bf and I are both windows/linux nuts. The most "mac" we have is his iphone and my nano. I can make my windows taskbar look like a "mac" dock so that's good enough for me.
Haha! No, that's him now. He threw out his fax machine last week in frustration because it was pulling through too many pages instead of one at a time.
I have a Macbook Pro and my bf has a Macbook. We also have several Linux machines (one of which we will be converting to Vista soon). I run Windows XP on Parallels on my mac. At work he uses
Ubuntu Linux, and I am sadly forced to use XP. I have an iPod (and hopefully a 3G iPhone soon), but he refuses to get an iPod - it took a lot of work to get him to buy the mac.
Both my husband and I prefer to work on Linux. My laptop, his laptop, and his work desktop are all running Ubuntu. We do have 2 desktop machines that are Windows...one we don't use very
often, so we haven't bothered to reformat, and the other runs his composing software that won't work with Ubuntu. We would definitely be 100% linux if we could! We actually convinced my mom,
who only uses the computer for digital photos and email, to let us reformat her machine and install Ubuntu!
I've got a shiny new white MacBook.
He has a Dell 1505.

1Hubby is a Graphic Designer, so he's a Mac, I've always been PC (since I was 10), but we also have a Xubuntu laptop which we share.

4Mac only, well except for XP running in bootcamp for some occasional gaming. No beach balls though

5We all have Windows-based PC's. I've never really had any problem with Windows. :shrugs:
I do have several iPods and an iPhone, though.

Windows, but I have hinted - several times! - that I LIKE the Macbook Air!
7I'm a mac girl. When my guy was looking at new computers,I convinced him to get a Macbook.

14I'm both (Mac for work, PC for home), and my boyfriend is neither. He doesn't touch a computer unless he absolutely has to.

19So I've seen Ubuntu and it is pretty- what software can you run on it? Can you run Adobe stuff?
