I'm making the final payment on a huge loan I took out, so I'm buying myself a treat in celebration. I need help choosing! I'm considering getting a DS Lite, a 80 gig iPod classic, or a Reware solar-powered bag. Here are the considerations:
-DS Lite - I already have a PSP, which I rarely use. Is it worth it to get a new portable gaming device?
-iPod - I already have a 2nd-gen iPod that I've had for years. It works, but does not have a color screen and has started to make a weird rattling noise when I shake it. I'm hesitant to give up my old one b/c my husband got it for me for our 1st Christmas together, and it still basically works.
-Solar-powered bag. Super freaking cool, but I don't carry around a laptop. Might be useful for charging my iPod and phone on the go, but I don't really like lugging around big bags.
Soooo -- what do you think?

i like my DS a lot - i think there are very different games for the DS than there are for the PSP. i would go for that instead of a solar bag that you may not use a lot...or another ipod if yours still works.
1I absolutely love my DS. There are so many great games. PSP has kind of a crappy game selection, I probably wouldn't play it too much either. They have, what? God of War, a Final Fantasy game, Metal Gear Solid, and GTA? Bah. DS has Zelda, Mario, Kirby, 2 Final Fantasy games, the same Lego games as PSP, Pokemon, and "adult" games like a weight loss coach, language coach, Brain Age, Flash Focus, Touchmaster, crossword puzzles, and Sudoku.
If your iPod is on its last legs though, I'd probably replace that instead. You can give the old one back to your hubby and he'd probably be happy to have a "new" toy to play with.
2I'd probably go with the iPod first, DS second.

3I would wait and get an iPod, but when you actually need it, since yours works - who knows what cool features the next one will come out with - and before that happens, you may lose your phone or something might happen to your PSP, and you will be bummed that you didn't go the other way!

I love my DS, but my iPod I use every day. If yours is on its last legs I say go with the iPod. A DS is so fun though!

Awesome! What game(s) did you get for it? I swear, I've played at least 4 hours of
Mario Kart DS today. I finally just unlocked everything.
8So far I only have Brain Age & Contra. Contra is freaking hard!!! And I can't seem to unlock the 30 lives I hear tell of on gamefaqs.
9Contra is insanely hard. I stink at it, even with the extra lives. I think the only difference in the original code and the new one is using the Y button.
Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, Y, B, start. (Or possibly B, Y, start. I forget.)
