Hello ladies,

I was hoping you could perhaps jump in and help me figure this out. I asked my dh to get me a laptop for my birthday. This woulnd't be my main computer, I have a desktop pc I use all the time (too often, in fact). But I have started writing and I'd like to be able to just jot stuff down whenever I feel like it, so it seems like a laptop would be a good idea. I might also decide to keep my web design stuff on it, I'm not sure.
So I need a basic one, but I'd like it to be fast and with a comfortable keyboard so I can use it often and for long periods of time.
It should hev enough memory for me to save some graphics stuff on it, too.
It needs to be under 500 dollars, and I don't like the new tiny ones.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
