I am trying to create a webpage for my family restaurant. We have a domain and I took a class on java and html, but it never taught me how to really create a page.
I have a mac, is there a certain software out there that anyone prefers to create a webpage for macs? Ive heard of Dreamweaver, but what are your opinions?
Thanks!

It really depends a lot on how you want the site to look and function. If it will mainly be graphics and text that does not change very often (i.e. a menu, location, hours, etc.) then I'd suggest making the Web page in photoshop and then splicing it out to HTML. This takes a little practice and Photoshop know-how, but I think it is not too hard to learn.
Even if you create it in Photoshop, you will want a program like Dreamweaver to set the code up and everything.
If you are really interested in learning the ins and outs of Web design I'd go this route you're currently going on.
If, on the other hand, you just want a site up quickly, I'd hire someone or buy a template page.
1I use Dreamweaver. And I agree with syako - buy a template (or find a basic free one) if you want a quick site to begin with. If you want a flash based site, hire someone.
2I use GoLive but bought Dreamweaver and am trying to learn it at home since they aren't making GoLive anymore.
